A garden snail and a slug meet at an intersection. One carries a shell on its back, while the other one also referred to as “naked snail” does not. Both from the same family but yet so different.

Eyeing one another for a long time, they then decided to compete and race to see who can slither the fastest. After figuring out the race route they get ready.

One — two — three, and off they go!

Slithering through the dirt, both leaving a trail of slime behind, they make their way through the first quarter of the race. Both of them have only one goal in mind — to get to the finish line first! Now, for us, this would be moving in slow motion, for the snails however this meant sprinting.

(swoosh)

The slug being a bit slimier due to its nature, was desperately trying to keep up with the garden snail, who in return was also struggling to keep up with the slug, due to the extra weight it was carrying on its back.

Both not knowing how much the other one was struggling, the race carries on, and minutes turn into hours. Now, for us, the stretch of the race would be a joke, for the snails however this was the longest they have ever gone…
