Once upon a time — a long time ago, in a land far away, there once lived a little girl.

This little girl had the ability to dream and fantasize up her own little imaginary world. A fairy tale world full of magic and mystery — a world, filled with dwarfs, and fairies, knights, and dreamy princesses, evil queens, and dashing heroes.

In this world, she possessed the power to fantasize about anything she wanted to, and be absolutely anything she desired to be. Nothing was impossible and no one could intrude for she was the only one who could enter this magical world.

From playing out Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs to acting out beautiful and fearless Pocahontas, the little girl continued her journey; flying through Neverland with Peter Pan, and becoming one of Robin Hoods Merrie Men, as she stole from the rich and gave to the poor, her imagination knew no limits.

Plodding through the forest for hours, she was in perfect sync with herself and with life. Having actual conversations with birds, trees, and snails, her soft voice echoed through the darkness of the forest, spreading so much peace and happiness, she promised herself that she will never, ever, leave this magical world behind.

Selina, I love the full circle of this story. The idea that a later redemption can be found in the truths one already knew as a child is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this piece!
