I Just Want To Be A Fly On The Wall

nothing more.

Buzzing sound of wings beating

I just want to be a fly on the wall

Unnoticed, watching, and observing

For I am simply just a witness nothing more

I don’t want to be acknowledged

I don’t want to be seen

Don’t waste your time on me

For I am just a fly on the wall nothing more

Pretend I am not here

For I have nothing to say

Nor have an opinion to share

Nor does it even matter

For I am just a fly on the wall nothing more

I don’t want to be a burden

Nor a pest in your eyes

But pity is far from what I want

For I have pride just like you

Even though small and unimportant in your eyes

I am a living creature

Fighting for life

Yes —a fly on the wall

For I am nothing more

First poem written.

Thank you for reading.
